Get the Facts Right: Linguistics over Linguicism!

It's sad to see false information about languages being spread, especially by public figures. This is not just careless. It is offensive.

Saying that Kannada was born out of Tamil is historically inaccurate and linguistically disrespectful. Such statements promote linguicism and undermine the unique identity of languages and their speakers. First, be genuinely interested in linguistics, not in promoting linguicism.

Do your research. Language is culture, and misrepresenting it is a form of discrimination.
